Title: Crisco Soap
Categories: Gift
Yield: 1 Recipe

1/2 Can Lye (Red Devil Drain
  Cleaner)
2cDistilled water
5cCrisco
1/4cAmmonia
2tbBorax

Place the water in a GLASS bowl and carefully add lye. Stir with a woooden spoon until lye is dissolved. The lye will make the water hot, so let it cool down to room temp. after mixing (about 20 Min.) In the meantime, melt the Crisco in a pan until liquefied. Add the liquid Crisco to your room temp. lye/water and stir for about 5 min. with a wooden spoon. Then, let it sit for another 5 min. Stir in ammonia and borax, then Re-stir mixture and pour into a cardboard shoe box lined with a wet cotton cloth. Leave it outside where it will be undisturbed for 3-4 days. When it is hard, cut it into bars as you would brownies! You will have a bunch of great soap.
